Jim Hord Tennis to Hold First Footwork Clinic
Weekend-long “Footwork-Only” Junior Clinic is first of its kind. Intense footwork fundamentals workshop entices Junior tennis players from around the country.
Bozeman, MT, May 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- PTR Professional Jim Hord will hold the first of several “Footwork-Only” clinics this upcoming Memorial Day weekend at the Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, Montana. This inaugural event, geared towards Junior tennis players, will be unique in its focus on helping players develop proper footwork techniques intended to get them to the ball faster and recover more efficiently.
The eight hours of intensive instruction, which includes “before and after” video recording of each player, as well as a copy of Hord’s recently released “2 Steps 2 Success” DVD on which the clinics are based, is drawing players from all over the state of Montana, as well as Juniors from other parts of the country.
“We’re just excited that the word is getting out; that people are getting the fact that these techniques I’ve been teaching for years actually do work!” Jim Hord said of the success of his video and the tremendous interest in his clinics. Hord, who has been a player, coach and PTR Professional for over 25 years, is working with his assistant and protégé, Kyle Wilson of Bozeman.
They have two more weekend clinics scheduled for the next few months, including clinics for Adults, but are considering adding several more dates due to the overwhelming response they’ve received, and the fact that so few spots were offered at each. Hord stated, “The reason that we keep our ratio at 4:1 is so we can keep our groups both age and level appropriate, but more importantly, when the player leaves us after those eight hours, they will own these skills.”
