Eight Curves of Pinellas County FL Partner with Regal Park Place Stadium Cinemas for "Stars of Hope" Charity
Eight Curves have committed to working with Regal Park Place Stadium Cinemas in Pinellas Park FL all Summer to raise funds for "Stars of Hope."
St Petersburg, FL, June 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Every summer the Regal Park Place Stadium 16 Cinemas, a part of the Regal Entertainment Group, located at The Shoppes at Park Place in Pinellas Park, Florida, raises funds for the "Stars of Hope" charity, through an in-theater donation drive. The drive and funds are channeled through the Regal Foundation to such charities as Boys & Girls Club of America, Will Rogers Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, The Children's Charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes, Komen Breast Cancer and Child Help USA.
This summer, the owners representing eight Curves franchises will be in the theaters at this Pinellas location, matching donations of $10 to the charity with a Gift Certificate for 10 free workouts at their Pinellas Curves locations. The eight participating Curves are Pinellas Park South, Pinellas Park North, St Petersburg North, Boyd Hill - St Petersburg South, Seminole, Largo, Bardmoor and Clearwater.
This partnership is a strong win-win situation, as the charity receives donations of $10 for each woman participating, the local Curves has a new guest at their club, and the theater patron has a generous three full weeks of workouts at Curves. This allows the donor to experience the Curves 30-minute full body workout, receive a tour of the facility, a free Fitness Assessment and training on all equipment plus ongoing support. For the donor, it is a great opportunity to check out the local Curves before making a commitment.
Pinellas County Curves franchisees believe strongly in giving back to the communities where their members reside and have a history of supporting St Petersburg area charities. In 2007, these same franchisees plus a few others, raised $1,400 for CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse), a St Petersburg organization that assists victims of abuse. Since then they have raised money for several churches, helped sponsor an event to provide over 300 backpacks to local schoolchildren, held annual food drives for local shelters, and during Breast Cancer Month, annually rewarded women who have mammograms by waiving joining fees with proof of mammogram.
Many members of Curves in the St Petersburg area know that Curves gyms offer a safe, supportive and caring environment to become healthy. These Curves owners extend that same care and support beyond the gym into the community by their personal efforts and dedication.
Look for the big, purple tent in the lobby of the Park Shoppes Regal Cinema most weekends this summer and at the Free Family Film Festival. Curves will be there, matching donations. These Curves can also be contacted at www.curvestampabay.com
