American Society of Plastic Surgeons Show Increase in Body Lifts

National Plastic Surgery Statistics Reveal Body Contouring is on the Rise.

Beverly Hills, CA, June 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- While the economy may be facing hard times and reports that the plastic surgery industry is on the decline, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) recently revealed that body contouring is on the rise. Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Andre Aboolian, is the leading expert on post-weight loss skin removal and body lifts.

Dr. Aboolian has performed countless skin removal procedures and body lifts with patient requests ranging from simple butt lifts or thigh lifts to contestants and winners from “The Biggest Loser” requesting skin removal and full body lifts. Erik Chopin and Jim Germanakos, winners of season and three and four of the show, are among the many that have pushed forward with their determination to shed pounds and were looking to show more than sagging skin.

The ASPS revealed that butt lifts and other lower body lifts were up eight percent in 2008 and 67% of total 2008 thigh and upper arm lifts were after massive weight loss. It not only shows that Americans are moving in a healthier direction, but Dr. Aboolian has also noticed that more and more of his older patients are requesting some form of body lift. “Women in their 60s and 70s are trying to look as young as they feel. Among the most common requests are butt and thigh lifts,” Dr. Aboolian remarks.

Located in Beverly Hills, Dr. Aboolian is more than just another plastic surgeon. He is an expert in body contouring, lifts, skin removal and revision surgery of the breast and nose. He has been featured on “Extreme Makeover,” EXTRA, Access Hollywood, US Weekly and People Magazine, noted as an expert in the Los Angeles Times and New York Times, among many others.
