Trigger Points Could be Preventing Your Personal Training Clients from Reaching Their Fitness Goals
Surrey Kinesiologist, Rick Kaselj, is hosting a course for BCRPA fitness professionals on how trigger points could be holding your clients back from reaching their fitness goals.
Surrey, Canada, September 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Surrey Kinesiologist, Rick Kaselj, is hosting a course for BCRPA fitness professionals on how trigger points could be holding your clients back from reaching their fitness goals.
Trigger points affect muscles in the athletic and sedentary by causing pain, which leads to decreasing performance. The Understanding Trigger Points to Overcome Pain BCRPA course will cover myofascial trigger points and how they play a role in helping your client reach their fitness goals.
BCRPA personal trainers and weightroom supervisors are educated about how muscles relate to exercise, but there are times when BCRPA fitness professionals may be puzzled about why a client is not progressing.
They may ask:
- “Why is this person in pain”?
- “Why are they not building muscle”?
- “Why are things getting worse instead of better”?
Sometimes the problem simply does not fit the typical exercise model. Myofascial trigger points may be to blame. It is important for BCRPA fitness professionals to understand trigger points and how they can lead to pain or decreased performance.
Rick Kaselj of Healing Through Movement will be hosting William N. Huhn. Mr. Huhn will be teaching the Understanding Trigger Points to Overcome Pain course, which addresses the issue of trigger points and how to help your clients over come them and reach their fitness and rehabilitation goals.
