Local Downtown Apex Businesses Partner to Benefit the Pretty in Pink Foundation

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Apex, NC, October 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Harmony Pilates Studio, Integrative Movement & Yoga will exhibit and sell artwork created by the students of Studio 123 throughout the month of October. Proceeds from the art will be donated by the artists to benefit the Pretty in Pink Foundation. Additionally, Harmony Pilates Studio, will open its doors to the public on Sunday, October 25th from 1:30-5pm offering instructor demonstrations of the Reformer and Cadillac, resistance training equipment designed by Joseph Pilates the founder of the Pilates Method. A set of abbreviated 30 minute classes in Yoga, Pilates, and children's movement & fitness will be adapted for beginners as an introduction for anyone willing to try.

In addition to Harmony's efforts to help raise money for cancer research the Pilates and Yoga Studio work with cancer patients and survivors assisting them through their treatment and recovery phases. The environment created by the instructors and the space brings together a community of support and positive encouragement. Participation is by donations only, 100% of which will go to the Pretty in Pink Foundation. Instructors and staff will be on hand to answer questions pertaining to individual and family memberships as well as the benefits of Yoga and Pilates for cancer patients.
