Sheehan Training to Present "The 4 Evils of Nutrition" in Foxboro
Tom Sheehan and LeAnna Brown, owners of Sheehan Personal Training in Foxboro, will be presenting their informative and controversial presentation, "The 4 Evils of Nutrition," at the Foxboro Public Safety Building at 8 Chestnut Street on December 3 at 7 PM.
Foxborough, MA, November 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Tom Sheehan and LeAnna Brown, owners of Sheehan Personal Training in Foxboro, MA, recently completed the same presentation at Wheaton College on November 4, and the presentation was so well received that they were invited to return to present again to a larger group. This presentation will educate and inform the attendees of which foods are most dangerous to eat, and will explain what happens to our cellular functions as a result of ingesting these foods.
Sheehan and Brown, who are now into the fourth year of business with their training studio, believe that nutrition is the most important component of healthy living. They operate a semi-private training studio where up to three people can be in a session at once, but all nutrition plans that are developed are unique and based on a clients' goals, tastes, and lifestyles.
Sheehan, a Certified Nutrition Specialist through the American Academy of Sports Dieticians and Nutritionists (AASDN), had struggled with weight as a child and embraced exercise shortly after graduating from high school in 1982. He is currently in the process of developing a second and third module to this presentation which will encompass the alternatives to popular and dangerous food choices that are made today, and the prevention and eradication of diseases through nutrition.
Brown, a self-proclaimed foodie, began studying nutrition with the birth of her first child in 1993. She started reading labels and doing research on what we were feeding our infants. She soon noticed the symmetry between the advent of the Standard American Diet (SAD) and the many afflictions (mental & physical) that children are suffering from today. LeAnna has also been instrumental in the evolvement of the nutrition component of the Sheehan Personal Training program. She has developed innovative nutrition plans and behavioral solutions that have been very successful for their clients, and recently completed a new aspect of the program called "Sheehan Connection" which will be rolled out the first week of December. This feature will include weekly support meetings for their clients where the challenges of weight loss and eating correctly will be discussed and addressed.
This presentation is the result of many inquiries that were received following the presentations that were delivered at the mixed martial arts studio America’s Best Defense in North Attleboro, and Wheaton College in Norton. "I have received nothing but positive feedback from the students who attended, and multiple requests from people who could not attend and are hoping for an encore presentation. Many students were outright shocked at the information that was provided, and it has many people thinking about their food choices," said Aaron Wajsgras, a senior at Wheaton and organizer of the event.
This nutrition seminar will be presented at the Foxboro Public Safety Building, 8 Chestnut Street, Foxboro. The seminar will be limited to 50 people, so people are encouraged to call the Sheehan studio to RSVP. Their number is 508-543-1313.
Tom Sheehan and LeAnna Brown are life and business partners who operate their holistic studio with the goal of making a difference in the health and well-being of every person who walks through their door. They both possess a Masters in Business Administration, and are nationally certified personal trainers. They currently conduct their own independent studies on nutrition and the effects that exercise and nutrition can have in the prevention and elimination of diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
