Sports Science Lab Introduces New Muscular Endurance Exercises for Their New Online Endurance Training Zone

SSL announces the launch of the Endurance Zone on their web site designed specifically for high endurance athletes.

San Juan Capistrano, CA, February 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sport Science Lab (www.sportsciencelab.com), the only training system that focuses on re-training the Central Nervous System (CNS), just launched an online training zone for endurance athletes. The Zone section of the web site is replete with many new, never-before-seen muscular endurance exercises and training programs in addition to pertinent nutritional information. A private forum allows endurance athletes the opportunity to share experiences, information and war stories as well.

The Endurance Zone, much like the entire Sport Science Lab web site, encourages members to create, upload and share exercises and customized muscular endurance exercise programs. Specifically, the muscular endurance exercises combine cardiovascular endurance, mental endurance, core stabilization and strength in addition to plyometrics and movement patterning. Noticeable gains in cardio & core are realized through a prescribed sprinting routine, rowing and incorporation of a Heavy Rope.

“Maybe the most important point of all is that adhering to our methodology and performing SSL muscular endurance exercises, there's no stress on the body as in traditional systems” says Gavin MacMillan, founder of Sport Science Lab, seven sport athlete and trainer for NFL, NBA, MLB and NCAA athletes. “For example, we have endurance runners run in place in a pool so they get extreme anaerobic benefits and proper movement patterning without the pounding of running on the road” concluded Mr. MacMillan.

The most recent success story is that of a non-professional father of two, who had to drop out of his first marathon last year, due to Achilles injuries. before he even started the race. Thanks to SSL and their specialized muscular endurance exercises, including a proprietary slant board and ankle pipes, he ran in and completed the Rock & Roll Marathon and more recently finished the Carlsbad Marathon in under four hours---shaving nearly 40-minutes from his time. His story can be found at www.sportsciencelab.com/training/Endurance.

Sport Science Lab has been training elite athletes such as Troy Polamalu, Tyson Chandler, Sione Pouha, Mark Anderson, the LA Sol, et al for nearly a decade. In addition to re-training the CNS, SSL methodology calls for training the feet first because every athletic move begins with the feet. This training is unique in that the feet are a part of the anatomy that is neglected by traditional training methodologies.
