Cops Vs. Firemen – A Tucson CrossFit Challenge for Charity

A new Tucson based CrossFit gym is challenging Tucson area law enforcement officers and firefighters to a fitness challenge on May 22nd at 12:00 noon. CrossFit Purgatory will accept donations from all competitors and will match funds to donate to the 100 Club of Arizona.

Tucson, AZ, May 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 12:00 noon, CrossFit Purgatory will be kicking off their Grand Opening celebrations by hosting an outdoor CrossFit challenge for all law enforcement officers and firefighters. Officers and firefighters will complete functional training CrossFit exercises within a pre-set time and the person who completes the most reps or work within the set time will be declared the winner of the competition. Come watch your local law enforcement officers and firemen battle it out to raise money for the 100 Club of Arizona.

Each competitor will donate an entry fee for charity. This challenge is just in time as May is national Police memorial month, a time to remember our fallen law enforcement heroes. All donations will be given to the 100 Club of Arizona – *The mission of the 100 Club of Arizona is to provide financial assistance to families of public safety officers and firefighters who are seriously injured or killed in the line-of-duty, and to provide resources to enhance their safety and welfare.

Grand Opening events will continue with a coaches workout for spectators to watch, plus free events and workshops all afternoon from Old Pueblo Gymnastics, Nutrition by Roxie Walker, Danielle Lang with a kettlebell demonstration as well as a fashion show of sporty styles from Butz Jeans and Piece by Piece and much, much more. They will have refreshments for everyone.
