Selmarq Principal Named President of BMA: Business Marketing Association Taps Veteran Marketer

Charlotte, NC, September 06, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Jeff Rothe, principal, SELMARQ,TM has been named Carolinas Chapter president of the Business Marketing Association (BMA). BMA Carolinas is part of BMA International, which has more than 3,000 members, and is the leading association for business-to-business (B2B) marketers and communicators in the U.S.

Rothe served as vice president of publications for BMA Carolinas in three consecutive years for which they were named Chapter of the Year by BMA International. He also has served as president of the Charlotte Society of Communicating Arts.

Rothe has more than 25 years experience creating and producing B2B and consumer communications. He joined Selective Marketing Communications, Inc. in 1985 as managing art director and eventually became creative director then an account executive on his way to assuming ownership of the agency. In July, Selective Marketing unleashed SELMARQ, a business component focused on building greater equity in company brands.

BMA Carolinas meets monthly between September and May. The first gathering of 2005-2006 season will be September 29, 7 p.m., at the Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte, 2730 Randolph Rd. The meeting will honor winners of the BMA Carolinas Pro-Ad Awards, a competition of marketing solutions created by advertisers and agencies located in the Carolinas.
