Washington, DC, October 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- As the special guest on the Bouncing Back Now show on the Real Coaching Radio TV Network, Ms. Kim Olver impressed the viewers with her practical relationship advice and profound insights into relationships.
Olver shared her thoughts with the host, Donna Marie Thompson, and presented her unique views on the Relationship Cycle. In the first step of the cycle we begin alone, slowly start to reach out to friends, gradually move into dating, assess compatibility of that special person, deepen the relationship, and then move into the maintenance relationship phase. At each stage along the way in the relationship cycle there are important tips and strategies to help navigate and avoid the rocks.
Olver stated that one of the key preparation steps before starting a new healthy relationship is to first spend some "alone" time to capture the lessons. There is a great temptation to run out and start dating right away after a relationship break up – but this is not ideal. A better course of action is to explore the past relationship for its valuable lessons.
Olver explained that each relationship stage requires focused attention. Especially during the long-term maintenance stage Olver advised that the viewers not coast and take love for granted.
Destructive Relationship Habits
Olver also provided valuable insights into the inner workings of healthy relationships and how common destructive habits create relationship problems. She shared a list of destructive relationship habits that are readily identifiable such as lack of trust, not listening, and undermining. One of the most destructive habits that creates relationship problems is complaining. Olver stated that: "Often when our spouse or partner does something that is bothersome, we complain. This only serves to weaken our relationship bonds." Olver advised to replace those destructive relationship habits with healthy relationship habits – and what a difference it will make.
