The San Diego Century Bicycle Tour Locks in Date for 2011

Encinitas, CA, December 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Event Media, Inc. announces May 21, 2011 as the official date for the fifth annual San Diego Century Bicycle Tour in Encinitas, California.

The event is a cycling tour with a choice of 37, 66 or 103-mile rides starting and finishing with food, fun and music at MiraCosta College in Cardiff, California on Saturday, May 21. The scenic cycling courses include moderate to challenging hill climbs and San Diego’s North County beaches of Encinitas and Solana Beach.

All biking courses will be well marked, offer food and drink at SAG stations as well as mobile mechanics and support. All riders receive a participant’s gift and a finisher’s medal.

In conjunction with finish of the bicycling event, the “Taste the Hills” exposition will feature fun, food and activities for family and friends with booths that offer some of the wonderful range of foods available in San Diego’s North County region.

“The three routes include some of the most popular and beautiful bicycling routes in the San Diego region,” commented ride organizer Jim Curl. “The climbs range from moderate to difficult and provide a good opportunity for everyone from experienced riders to first-timers and visitors to enjoy the challenge with a very well-supported ride.”
