Mother of All Fitness Challenges Gets Moms Moving
Baby Boot Camp is launching a 3 month fitness challenge to find America's Fittest Mom.
Campbell, CA, January 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Baby Boot Camp’s 2011 “Mother Love Fitness Challenge” Starts Jan. 31.
Baby Boot Camp is searching for America’s fittest mom. By signing up for Baby Boot Camp’s 2011 “Mother Love Fitness Challenge,” local moms will commit to three months of regular exercise as they engage in friendly competition with each other while working towards reaching their New Year’s fitness goals. Moms will be rewarded with monthly prizes for challenges such as most push-ups, most inches lost, and fastest 1/2 mile time pushing 1 child in a stroller (or 2 if they have them).
“New Year’s resolutions to get fit often fail because we don’t have the motivation to keep us inspired and accountable –and moms have the added challenge of balancing family, work and personal time,” says August Patterson, the South Bay’s franchise owner and certified fitness instructor for Baby Boot Camp, the nation’s premier stroller-fitness program. “The Mother Love Fitness Challenge allows moms to make that commitment to fitness for themselves without sacrificing time with their family.”
Delivered by nationally certified fitness professionals, Baby Boot Camp classes consist of a total body work out including cardio drills, strength training, and core exercises all geared to get moms fit. Moms can register for the Mother Love Fitness Challenge through Feb. 5, which will qualify them for the monthly prize packages awarded to the nation’s fittest moms.
The Mother Love Fitness Challenge begins Jan. 31 and ends May 1, 2010. Each month has a focus:
February: Strong Love! — The goal is to increase strength and physical confidence.
March: Core Love!— The focus will be on flexibility and balance by engaging the core muscles.
April: Cardio Love!— Baby Boot Camp classes will be geared toward increasing cardiovascular endurance. Classes will emphasize power walking, jogging and interval drills.
“I’m excited to start the Baby Boot Camp Fitness Challenge,” says Heidi Fisher. “I’ve been anxious to lose the baby weight. This event gives me the extra motivation I need to come to class regularly so I won’t let my team down, plus I’ll be modeling healthy behavior for my child."
