Course provides students with a means of pursuing employment opportunities in the thriving health and fitness industry.
Columbus, OH, January 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- With employment opportunities for personal trainers expected to grow 29% through 2018 – much faster than average, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics – the health and fitness industry will become a focus for those looking for a new career or second income source. To best prepare individuals to enter and succeed in the health and fitness industry, Hondros College developed their new personal training certification course in partnership with renowned fitness professionals. This new course is both progressive and comprehensive, providing students with the most relevant information available as they learn how to become effective personal trainers and build a career in the fast-growing health and fitness industry.
The personal trainer certification course is geared toward preparing individuals to work at a private or public fitness club, become self-employed personal trainers, learn how to get healthy and motivate others, gain a better understanding of the health and fitness industry, and ultimately build a career within the health and fitness industry. Classes focus on relevant topics, including exercise, diet and nutrition, motivation and coaching, and personal training program development.
“We’re truly excited to offer this focused, new course,” says Tina Lapp, President of the College of Business at Hondros College. “Personal trainer careers are expected to grow much faster than average over the next decade – 29% to be exact – so the future for our students is extremely bright.”
The first class of personal trainer certification students begins on Saturday, March 12, 2011. The certification course takes just two weekends to complete. Upon course completion, students will receive their personal trainer certification from the Center for International Certification Programs, Inc. (CICPI). If desired, students will be prepared to sit for other personal trainer certification exams.
