Peoria’s Blu Agave Arizona Kitchen Raises Money for American Cancer Society

From 9 a.m. to noon , Blu Agave Arizona Kitchen will serve its brunch menu and pledge 10 percent of the brunch’s proceeds to the Relay for Life event being held at the Peoria Sports Complex on April 30.

Peoria, AZ, April 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Blu Agave Arizona Kitchen is cooking up a delicious way to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, holding a fundraising brunch on April 17 at the popular Peoria restaurant.

From 9 a.m. to noon , Blu Agave Arizona Kitchen will serve its brunch menu and pledge 10 percent of the brunch’s proceeds to the Relay for Life event being held at the Peoria Sports Complex on April 30.

Among the other items available on the brunch menu are breakfast burritos (stuffed with fluffy scrambled eggs, applewood bacon, pico de gallo and pepper jack cheese), French toast (made with thick Texas toast, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with fresh strawberries), eggs benedict, cheese omelets and southwestern chicken omelets.

For drinks, Blu Agave is offering your choice of orange, apple or cranberry juice for only $3 and Bloody Caesars and Blu Agave Mimosas for only $5. Patrons have the opportunity to mix their own Bloody Caesars as well, with a specialty flavor bar with numerous options for customizing any Bloody Caesar, which Blu Agave makes with vodka and Clamato juice.

Local artist Dimitri Dominguez will also be lending a hand, donating 10 percent from each piece of artwork sold during the brunch.

“Cancer is something that touches everyone at one point or another,” said Blu Agave managing partner Christina Ricke. “We pride ourselves on living and working in the Peoria community. When we heard about this event, we felt obligated to help.”
