North Miami, FL, September 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A two-day program of holistic panels, experiential sessions and presentations is scheduled for November 11 and 12 at the FIU Kovens Conference Center in North Miami Beach as part of a unique holistic event: the WHOLE 11-11-11 Convention.
Created and hosted by the Web of Holistic Educators – WHOLE – to bring together holistic experts and enthusiasts from around the country, the convention promises to be an exceptional opportunity to learn more about improving our relationships with others, taking better care of our physical, mental and spiritual body, and reconnecting with Mother Earth through meditative inquiry, meditation, QiGong, music, and other experiential activities.
Opening the event on Friday evening at 6 p.m., keynote speaker Janet Weisberg, will help attendees open their senses and reconnect with Mother Earth in a conscious, respectful and profound way. Then on Saturday she will also facilitate a 1-hour workshop on same subject.
Additional treat for Friday’s kick-off reception are the songs of renowned Venezuelan artist Jesus Hidalgo and the Pachamama Project who will integrate environmental consciousness with music.
During a special luncheon on Saturday, world-renowned professor Timothy Evans Ph.D. executive director of the Florida Adlerian Society and professor at Webster University will discuss “The Art of Encouragement,” focusing on why fear, power, and the threat of punishment are no longer effective in creating responsible citizens.
A Chiricahua Apache Native American born in a family of medicine people, and a medicine man himself, Joe Iron Eagle will be a panelist at the organic and sustainable living panel on Saturday and later, with his drum, he will teach the Medicine Wheel to the audience during the evening general gathering. A traditional Sundancer, Iron Eagle believes that all illnesses start in the soul, inside the heart, and that any healing needs to go from inside out.
Other presenters are Brahmadev, Geri Carter, Dr. Isaac Goren, Dr. Leonor Murciano Chen, Ann Smith, Melissa Cramer, Autumn Raab, Lorraine Meyer, Suzzanne Barros, Lucy Caso, Adriana Zarate, and Dr. Bernie Burton.
In concurrent sessions on Saturday, the WHOLE 11-11-11 Convention will provide educational and networking opportunities for like-minded people, creating a space for sharing projects, research, information and insights into how to promote a holistic thinking for holistic living in areas such as economy, spirituality, politics, health, psychology, community living, and education, for the improvement of the quality of life in the whole world.
