David is a 1978 graduate, cum laude, of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications. He is also a graduate of both Coach University (1997) and the Optimal Functioning Institute (1996). David was a former president of the Optimal Functioning Institute and teleclass leader at Coach University. Prior to coaching, he helped develop and direct the marketing/strategic plans on behalf of one of the world's largest advertising agencies (Young & Rubicam). Major responsibilities included director of marketing on the Miller Brewing account, development of all sports marketing plans (NBA, NFL, and Major League Baseball), retail marketing and sales promotion for their 600-plus distributors. Additional clients included Champion Products, Inc., Pizza Hut, PepsiCo, Jiffy Lube, and AT&T.
He and his wife, Marla (ADDCA’s director of operations) and their two children live in the suburbs of Albany, NY. In his previous life, David played Division I college basketball, holds a black belt (Shodan) in Budokai karate and enjoys working out daily, writing, creating coach training programs, and learning more about self-development, spirituality and the science of the brain.
