Call MD Plus Awards Grant to Cleveland Clinic’s Foundation
Tampa, FL, December 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Call MD Plus is pleased to announce that they have awarded a grant to the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation, to support the ongoing efforts of Dr. Roizen’s Preventative and Integrative Medical Conference. Michael F. Roizen, MD, Chief Wellness Officer for the Cleveland Clinic, designed the conference to focus on “Reversing Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders including Metabolic Syndrome, Type 2 Diabetes, and Thyroid Disorders.”
The conference also addressed the use of complementary and alternative medicines (CAM’s) for treatment of metabolic disorders, which have become quite common in the United States. A 2007 National Health Interview Survey showed that 38.3 of adults use some type of CAM.
