Sample the Basics of Zumba, Tai Chi, Yoga or Spinning
LifeCenter Plus Offers Beginning Classes for Flexibility, Strength and Energy
Hudson, OH, February 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- LifeCenter Plus offers a way to test the waters with a sampling of some of the most talked about mind and body exercise formats. Adults and teens can experience the movement, music and equipment used in Zumba, Tai Chi, Yoga and Spinning.
“If you’ve been thinking about a class, but maybe were afraid to walk in when others in the class seem so much more advanced, our basics programs give you an opportunity to try something new,” said Jerry Lynch, co-owner of the LifeCenter Plus Health and Fitness Club. “We developed our Basic classes to give a sample of the terminology, beginning movements and instruction on the equipment.”
While no registration is required for members, nonmembers can go to the website to get a free pass to try one of the classes. Nonmembers should check in at the front desk 45 minutes before the scheduled class.
The Intro to Zumba basic class focuses on the rhythms of Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue and Reggaeton. Participants will learn the basic footwork so they are prepared for the one hour class immediately following. Intro to Zumba is offered March 4 and April 1 from 5:30-6 p.m.
The one-hour Tai Chi basic class introduces participants to the art of slow, flowing movement which improves balance, posture, strength and range of motion. Learn the basic terminology, proper posture and the history of Tai Chi in this introductory class.
Ask questions about Yoga in this one-hour class beginning March 6. Participants experience proper body alignment, breathing techniques and basic poses. Students will learn several mind-body awareness techniques and Yoga meditation.
In the Spinning 101 class, for adults 18 and older, attendees learn how to correctly adjust their bike, sample different riding positions and learn how to monitor their heart rate for a safe and effective riding experience.
