Tigerlily Foundation Hosts 4th Annual “EmPower” Ball - Event to Highlight Advocacy and Empowerment for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer
The Tigerlily Foundation will host its 4th Annual EmPower Ball to raise awareness about young women with breast cancer on Saturday, October 20, 2012, from 6-9PM at the McLean Hilton, in McLean, Virginia. This year’s EmPower” Ball sets the tone for an evening slated with live entertainment, speeches from breast cancer advocates, dinner, signature cocktails, live and silent auction, local business leaders, and inspirational stories from young breast cancer survivors.
Reston, VA, June 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Tigerlily Foundation will honor the recipients for the 2012 Transformation, Inspire and KM Warrior Awards, including Beverly Vote, Founder, Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine, Lillie Shockney, Administrative Director of the John’s Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center, and Carla Shamblen, a young breast cancer survivor, living with Stage 4 breast cancer.
Previous awardees have included Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Representative Donna Christen and Jennifer Griffin, Fox 5 News Correspondent.
The event will be hosted by Andrea Roane, News Anchor, W*USA9, and presenters include Surae Chinn, Reporter, W*USA 9 and Tony Perkins, Fox 5 Morning News. Tigerlily Foundation also has programs focusing on providing healthcare practitioners with education focused on young women and breast cancer.
