Social Influence, Not Pressure or Ego, Credited for Inspiring Fitness Behavior

Just in time for the perennial New Year's Resolution, enthusiasts make their own fitness all about you.

Fort Worth, TX, December 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Watch Me How, a Fort Worth based fitness campaign, has one very clear message that’s overlooked by many fitness enthusiasts and the egos that seem to come along with being in good physical condition. That message is, “Your fitness isn’t all about you.” Bill Tinsley met this reality after a complete stranger approached him at a local coffee shop they both frequented. The woman said she had seen him in there before and that he had been an influence on her decision to get in better condition, to live a more active lifestyle. “It was somewhat profound,” says Tinsley. “I had done nothing overtly to gain her attention or inspire her in any way. She simply saw the physical benefits and results I had received from my efforts and made herself a commitment.”

Watch Me How was co-founded by cousins, Bill Tinsley & Stan Crawford, after they realized their interest in fitness had a positive influence on their friends, family and even complete strangers. “We never put the hard-sell on anyone to do what we were doing. We just really enjoy being active. It became apparent that our actions had unintended consequences, in a good way! We like to call it, inspiration by social influence.”

Starting off as personal philosophy between the cousins, Watch Me How and its message of inspiring others quickly found a steadily growing and loyal following on social media. “People seem to connect with and appreciate our philosophy,” says Tinsley. “Besides, when’s the last time you successfully talked someone in to getting fit?”

The Watch Me How campaign champions the positive influence you have on others through your own dedication to a more-fit lifestyle, without saying a word and simply by being an example to follow. Find out more at www.WatchMeHow.com or Facebook www.Facebook.com/WatchMeHow.
