Dr. Larry Nassar Joins Elite SportZ Band as Advisor and Partner

Los Angeles, CA, December 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Elite SportZ Band, LLC, providers of the latest compression-based back warmers for athletes, is pleased to announce that Dr. Larry Nassar, USA Gymnastics National Medical Coordinator, has joined the company as partner and advisory board member.

With over 30 years of experience working with gymnasts, cheerleaders and dancers, Nassar is one of the most respected names in sports medicine. Nassar was most recently in the spotlight while serving as head team physician for the United States gymnastics teams at the London Olympic Games. Nassar also has extensive knowledge and experience in product development. He received a patent on his Nassar System ankle brace for gymnasts in 1990.

Based on his expertise, Elite SportZ Band, LLC asked Nassar to evaluate the company’s Z-10 compression back warmer. After testing the Z-10 in the gym, Nassar recommended the Elite SportZ Band Z-10 for “its warmth and tactile stimulation of the core muscles.” Impressed with the Z-10, he is now enthusiastic to become a partner and join the advisory board. His role will include product quality improvement and new product development.

Doctor Nassar is an Associate Professor of Sports Medicine and Team Physician in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University. He is also a Member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science. Dr. Nassar has accumulated many awards throughout his medical career. A partial list includes the following awards: USA Gymnastics Shirley Marshack Memorial Award for the Development of the Talent Opportunity Program, United States Women’s Gymnastics Elite Coaches Association National Contributor of the Year, and Gymnastics Service Award Presented by the USAG Athlete Advisory Council.
