Aram Akopyan – A Healer’s Journey

Aram has been involved with health and wellness from his early childhood. From the tender age of seven, he witnessed his grandfather, a well-known traditional healer, practice his art and was destined to follow in his footsteps. In Armenia, Aram studied general medicine but was drawn to Cybernetics and Computer Science.
After completing his Masters in Computer Science From Armenia Polytechnic Institute, Aram immigrated to the United States and began a successful career in the Information Technology (IT) Industry. Within 10 years Aram held positions with such industry leaders as General Electric, Wang Laboratories, Memorex and IBM Corporation.
After the death of his grandfather, Aram followed his calling to become a healer. Leaving a successful career in the IT industry, he returned to school to complete his medical training.
Upon completing his Masters studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Yo San University, Aram traveled to China and Tibet to continue his studies. He completed his doctorate studies at Sichuan Academy of TCM in Chengdu China, and studied with Tibetan master healers, learning advanced techniques in Gynecology, Obstetrics, Fertility and Conception, Dermatology, Endocrine and Pain Management.
In 2006, after a three-year practicum in Sichuan China, Kung Ding province in Tibet, and the Yo San University Community Clinic in Los Angeles, Aram established The Total Wellness Center in Glendale California, with the vision of sharing his accumulated knowledge and experience with his community.
Aram’s Specialty
At his The Total Wellness Center, Aram and his staff offer comprehensive clinical services, integrated health solutions, lifestyle and nutritional counseling to treat a variety of conditions focusing on Internal Medicine, Pain Management and Women’s Health, including PMS, menopause, infertility, stress and anxiety disorders, and insomnia. His clinic also works with various local women's health centers, including fertility centers to help with Assisted Reproductive Therapies (ART.)
Aram is a Certified Life Coach and a registered instructor of Qi Gong and Tai Chi with the National Qi Gong Association (NQA). He practices and also teaches advanced energy healing and cultivation techniques.
In addition to teaching, Aram operates a daily television program on Charter Cable channel 285, where he demonstrates Ba Gua (Eight Treasures) Qi Gong exercises and shares relevant health and wellness advice.
