Dr. Larry Saylor Extends Training on CAD/CAM Technologies, Conservative Cosmetic Dental Procedures
Dr. Larry Saylor has extended his training in cosmetic dentistry to include the latest advancements in computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technologies.
Tampa, FL, April 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Larry Saylor, an experienced cosmetic dentist dedicated to improving smiles in the Tampa Bay area and beyond, has extended his training in cosmetic dentistry to include the latest advancements in computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technologies. In doing so, Dr. Saylor and staff are well equipped to perform more conservative cosmetic dentistry procedures such as partial-coverage crowns, or inlays/onlays.
The training, “5th Gear – Take E4D to the NEXT Level,” which took place in Raleigh, N.C., was taught by Dr. Edmund Suh and Heather Hennen, who are considered to be leaders in the field of CAD/CAM technologies, as well as inlays/onlays, materials, occlusion and adhesion. The course covered topics such as preparing more conservative restorations, designing occlusal surfaces, and implementing adhesive principles.
“This course was a great opportunity for myself and my staff to expand our training with partial coverage crowns to include CAD/CAM technologies, such as the E4D machine currently in our office,” said Dr. Saylor. “Combined with the techniques learned under Dr. Magne on adhesion dentistry, this information will allow us to achieve stronger, more predictable restorations that last longer than traditional restoration.”
Considered a leader in the field of partial coverage crowns, Dr. Edmond Suh has lectured nationally and internationally about various aspects of conservative pain free dentistry, including esthetics. Currently, roughly 90 percent of crowns prepared in his office are inlays/onlays.
“For patients, partial-coverage crowns are a great alternative to full-coverage crowns, as they supplement only the part of the tooth that is missing. Further, they are more conservative, easier to clean and leave the tooth structure much stronger than with a traditional crown,” Dr. Saylor. “With the training received under Dr. Suh, our staff will now be able to deliver partial coverage crowns using the latest technologies available, thus streamlining the process and reducing the time necessary to complete the procedure.”
