Everything Zen Yoga Believes That What You Give is What You Get Back

Join Everything Zen Yoga in Giving Back to the Central Florida Community

Orlando, FL, July 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Each month, Everything Zen Yoga offers a series of Karma Yoga Classes that are donation-based community classes. This yoga event is centered on the true spirit of karma as it spreads yoga throughout the Central Florida community, while contributing to it the same time.

Everything Zen Yoga created the Karma Yoga Classes as a way for their teachers in training to have the experience to teach in front of a group while collecting donations for local community organizations.

“Yoga is about creating love and peace, what better way to do that then to practice in the name of a cause.” – Rose Batignani, Everything Zen Yoga - Owner. Karma Yoga Classes also serve as an opportunity to allow people who may not otherwise be able to afford a yoga class, as donation are suggested but not required.

For each Karma Yoga Class, Everything Zen Yoga chooses a different local non-profit organization to feature as the beneficiary. “We choose a beneficiary by looking around the community to find out who is in need of support.” – Rose Batignani, Everything Zen Yoga - Owner. From their most recent class on July 14, 2013, Everything Zen Yoga raised over $150.00 in dog and cat food to donate to the local SPCA and look forward to doing more to support their programs. Some of the other local charities that Everything Zen Yoga’s Karma Yoga Classes have benefitted are, Second Harvest Food Bank and Meals on Wheels.

In honor of its 3 Year Anniversary, Everything Zen Yoga will be hosting two special Karma Yoga classes, on Saturday, August 17th and Sunday August 18th from 1:00 -4:00 pm. Visit the Waterford Lakes location to participate in 30 minute demo classes. During this time, there will also be raffles for free classes, packages and gift certificates to local shops and restaurants. All proceeds will benefit the Family Pantry at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. You can make on-site donations or bring items for the Family Pantry when you visit.

The Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children’s Family Pantry is a donation-based resource closet that provides various items to patients and their families in need. The pantry stocks items like clothing, toiletries, and non-perishable food items. The pantry is a great way to impact many sick kids and help their families out at the same time. With donations, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children can provide something as small as a toothbrush, shampoo, or soap or purchase food items that will fill a food bag for a family who may not have the resources to purchase food from the cafeteria. These gifts provide practical resources for children and families that have an imminent need and it will enable parents to be able to fully focus on their child’s recovery instead of worrying about basic needs.
