2BFitKidz Launches One-of-a-Kind Nutrition Education Program for Parents and Kids

Fort Lauderdale-Local 2BFitKidz is set to launch its first twelve-week nutrition education program for parents and kids, starting fall 2013 in the South Florida region. The main focus of the program is to educate and motivate both parent and child within the same classroom to lead healthier lifestyles through good nutrition and exercise.

Fort Lauderdale, FL, August 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- 2BFitKidz founders, Renee Brunetti and Pamela Ofstein, stress the point that childhood obesity is not a child's issue alone, it is a family issue. The entire program is designed to support the 2BFitKidz motto, "Healthy Parents, Healthy Kids." It is also a unique program in that it has two specific and non-negotiable requirements for participation. One, that each child must attend every session with at least one parent. Two, each child must have at least three one-hour exercise sessions per week signed-off by the instructor or parent. Of course, the parents are encouraged to exercise as well.

The program is split into two age groups, 6-9 and 10-14, and each group meets weekly for one hour. The sessions vary in topics from Sugar Savvy, Think What You Drink, to Balance Your Plate, and Winners Start with Breakfast. One-one-one assessments, a supermarket tour, and hands-on cooking activities are also a large part of the program.
