Sandy Kickboxing Clients Win Big in National 45 Day Body Transformation Contest
iLoveKickboxingSandy clients Quincy and Brian win 2nd and 6th place prizes in National Body Transformation Contest, not only through losing pounds and inches but through creating a happier and healthier lifestyle.
Sandy, UT, August 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- This summer, iLoveKickboxing ran a national contest called the 45 Day Transformation Contest, and two local Kickboxers in Sandy, UT – Quincy Sherman and Brian Ellis – won top prizes on a national level. Quincy Sherman won the 2nd place national prize of $1,000 and Brian Ellis won the 6th place national prize of $200! The contest required them to not only provide before and after pictures and attend regular Kickboxing classes, but they also had to follow a strict meal plan. This contest was about so much more than just weight loss however, the winners were determined by an overall transformation in body and mind. Quincy and Brian not only lost pounds and inches, but they created a better mindset and lifestyle when it comes to health and fitness.
Brian Ellis said about his experience participating in the contest, “45 days ago, I could barely do a pushup or a sit up. I was 232 pounds and that's at least 30 pounds over-weight. I had no energy and was sad and depressed. Something like the transformation challenge was my only hope! I needed to lose weight and get in shape! I was hoping to lose 30 pounds, but I also knew that was a lot to lose in 45 days, not impossible, but a lot. I started going to my iLoveKickboxing classes. Some days I went twice, once in the morning and once at night. After about a week and a half, I could feel the difference, both in my attitude and in my body! I felt better, I looked better, and I could feel my body firming up. I regained the desire to go out and do things – bicycle, swim, jet ski, hike – all sorts of physical activities. On a hike with my family, not only could I keep up, but I was leading the way! So far I've lost about 20 pounds. Not quite my final goal, but a lot for 45 days. Especially since some of that is fat that has now turned to muscle! One thing I learned: exercise isn't enough! A change in diet is what I needed and still need. I'm well on my way to reaching my weight and fitness goals now. Thanks iLoveKickboxing!”
Both Quincy and Brian were very excited when they found out they had won the contest. To help them celebrate their accomplishment, iLoveKickboxingSandy and Personal Mastery Martial Arts posted about their success and talked about their amazing accomplishments in every class. Quincy was happily surprised when she came into the Kickboxing studio to see a huge poster congratulating her on her big win in the contest. Quincy told her friends, “Winning an amazing $1000 prize in my kickboxing gym's Nationwide 45 day transformation challenge....Amazing. Transforming my body, mind, and lifestyle....Incredible! Coming back to the gym to a giant life sized poster of my before and after photos!? Priceless!”
The participants in this contest all quickly realized that they would need to do more than just workout regularly; they would also need to create a healthy nutritional eating plan. As part of the contest, iLoveKickboxing provided meal plans to help their clients achieve their goals. Quincy Sherman said, “Staying on the nutrition plan was challenging at times, especially on special occasions and weekends but working so hard in my kickboxing classes really motivated me not to undo all my hard work by eating things that are bad for my body. I felt more motivated to eat clean and healthy and one of the best and most beneficial things that I will take away from this challenge is my increased awareness about my body and my overall health. I now make it a priority to schedule in kickboxing classes throughout my week, I put them in my schedule just as I do any other work or life priority, and I am actively conscious about how I am nourishing my body. I feel like my entire outlook on life and making myself, my body, and my overall health a priority has changed for the better and I truly owe so much to iLoveKickboxing for this amazing life transformation."
Participating in this contest helped Personal Mastery Martial Arts and iLoveKickboxingSandy clients Quincy and Brian realize that their health and fitness goals could become a reality. In just 45 days they were able to completely transform their body and mind. They became more motivated, healthy, and happy. “I never imagined that I could have so much power and strength inside and out.” – Quincy Sherman.
