Healing Waters Spa & Cosmetic Clinic Announces Support For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Plastic Surgery Clinic And Spa Gives Back To The Community Through Service Discounts, Special Products And Informative Events To Raise Awareness Of Breast Cancer
Durham, NC, October 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Healing Waters Spa & Cosmetic Clinic, a plastic surgery clinic and full service day spa, has announced their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month through special promotions and events taking place during October.
Throughout the month, Healing Waters is teaming up with Breast Oasis, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to supporting communities by providing underprivileged women throughout the nation with clean, certified, gently used bras. All guests who donate a bra will receive one free upgrade per spa service. Massage therapy guests will receive a free body booster including a scalp massage, focused neck work or an extra foot massage, while facial service guests will have the option of receiving free Hands, Revitaleyez Eyes or Hydrating Lip Treatment. The spa is also introducing pink Restore mugs and shirts to their retail shelves available for purchase in support of breast cancer awareness and their Restore Healthy Living focus. A portion of October’s Restore mug and Restore T-shirt sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. All through October, employees will also show their support by sporting the spa’s pink restore shirts.
In addition, the spa will be hosting events surrounding Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day, Wednesday, Oct. 16, a campaign designed to promote education, awareness and access for women considering post-mastectomy reconstruction. Dr. Joseph Franklin, Healing Waters’ medical director and lead plastic surgeon, will give a presentation on reconstruction options, best practices and will provide special medical advice and guidance. From Sunday, Sept. 29 through Monday, Oct. 7, each of the spa’s departments will take part in the ‘Design A Bra’ contest by decorating a white bra to be displayed and judged by spa guests.
