Massage Envy Spas in Las Vegas/Henderson to Raise Money for Goodie Two Shoes
Sugar Foot Scrub proceeds and individual donations to help provide for children in need.
Las Vegas, NV, March 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Las Vegas and Henderson Massage Envy Spas are teaming up with the Goodie Two Shoes foundation during the month of April to raise funds for at-risk children in the valley. From April 1 - 30th, $1.00 from every Sugar Foot Scrub purchased in any of the 12 Las Vegas/ Henderson Massage Envy clinics will be donated to the Goodie Two Shoes foundation to provide shoes, socks and other essential items for children, many of whom have never owned a new pair of shoes.
“We are delighted to partner with the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation this year, because they provide such a wonderful service for disadvantaged kids in the valley,” said Jill Peters, regional spokesperson for the Las Vegas/Henderson Massage Envy Spas. “We think our Sugar Foot Scrubs are the perfect enhanced therapy to pair with this cause.”
Each clinic will also sell Goodie Two Shoes’ paper "sneaker prints" in exchange for donations to Goodie Two Shoes. Massage Envy Spa clients not choosing the Sugar Foot Scrub are also encouraged to donate, and to sign their specially made Massage Envy “sneaker prints,” which will be displayed on the walls of the clinics.
“It’s really fantastic to team up with Massage Envy Spa owners in our area, and with their clients, too,” said Nikki Berti, co-founder and CEO of the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation. “It’s this kind of community outreach that really helps make a remarkable difference in the lives of children,” Berti continued.
About the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation:
The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks, as well as other items deemed essential for good health and positive development. Goodie Two Shoes programming is based on the premise that they don't just provide a child with a new pair of shoes but rather empower participants with choice, by giving them the opportunity to select any pair of high-quality athletic shoes they want from GTSF's traveling 48' mobile shoe-store-on-wheels, which visits them on-site at their school or referring agency. Each participant is measured to ensure proper fit and paired one-on-one with a community volunteer whom takes a special interest, and walks them through the process. GTSF strives to reach 10,000 Southern Nevada children in need, annually.
The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation is proud to be a 501c3 charitable organization. To learn more about the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, please visit www.goodietwoshoes.org.
