Columbus, OH, April 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Callan Molle, a 2013 graduate of Olentangy High School, has committed to the Sand Volleyball Program at Louisiana State University. Molle has been playing indoor volleyball since middle school - previously playing for the Columbus Volleyball Academy, Olentangy High School, and Otterbein University before deciding to pursue her sand volleyball career. She currently plays high level sand volleyball regionally and nationally. Molle has gone to the sand volleyball nationals with her partner Alexis Elmurr, of Georgia State University, and placed in the top ten.
Molle started training at The Spot Athletics in August of 2013 to help improve her performance on the court and help her land a volleyball scholarship. She feels the training she participated in has improved her greatly as a player stating that “I really like training at The Spot Athletics because it pushes me to be tougher mentally and physically and to be a much better athlete. I can really feel myself jumping and moving quicker in the sand.” This January she was recruited by Louisianna State University (LSU) and found the program to be a great fit: “I feel blessed to be given the opportunity to play for such a high level, well respected, and competitive school. It's going be a great experience and I feel I will definitely grow as a person and an athlete.”
Molle will be studying Dietetics at LSU and will be reporting in August for camp. Zach Gallmann, strength coach at The Spot Athletics, had this to say about Molle, “Callan has worked really hard for this and deserves to go to such a great school. Our program is structured much like a collegiate program so it will give her a big advantage as she goes in as a first year player.”
