Dartmouth Total Fitness to Host Memorial Day Weekend Open House and Fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project™
Dartmouth Total Fitness will be holding an open house and fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project™ Memorial Day weekend. Activities inlcude Charity Boot Camp, Plank Off! Contest, Cookout and all group exercise classes will be available for free to the public all weekend.
Dartmouth, MA, May 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Total Fitness Clubs (TFC) announced today they will be holding an open house and fundraiser in support of the Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP) at their Dartmouth, MA location, Dartmouth Total Fitness (DTF), Memorial Day weekend. 100% of the proceeds from the Fundraiser will be donated to the WWP, and will support a full range of programs and services for this generation of injured veterans and their families.
The Fundraiser will include a Charity Boot Camp for WWP, a Plank Off! Contest followed by a Cookout on Saturday, May 24th starting at 10AM. During this open house weekend, the regular facility and group exercise classes will be available for free to the public all weekend.
Over 47,000 servicemen and women have been injured in the recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Another 320,000 are believed to have experienced a traumatic brain injury while on deployment. WWP’s 18 programs and services are uniquely structured to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement.
***Fundraiser Schedule - Saturday, May 24:***
- 10AM Charity Bootcamp – suggested donation $10.
Run by DTF Personal Trainers Stacia & Erica who will each raffle off a package of three ½ hour Personal Training Sessions.
- 11:15 Plank Off1
Prizes will be given to the the top 3 competitors (1 therapeutic massage with Carrie Gippo, $100 of Paleo Naturals product and a T-Shirt and discount offer from Olympia Sports).
- 11:30 am – 1:30 pm Cookout provided by Paleo Naturals. $50 to Paleo Foods will be raffled off to one of the attendees of the Cookout.
