Ayurveda Yoga Therapy Course Launched by Yoga Veda International

A one of a kind Ayurveda Yoga Therapy training that blends the teachings of Classical Hatha Yoga with Ayurvedic Medicine into one seamlessly integrated professional curriculum.

Sebastian, FL, July 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Yoga Veda has launched a one of a kind Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Teacher Training Course. The course is the first of its kind to offer a dual certification, in both Ayurvedic Medicine and Hatha Yoga.

Yoga Veda is an international school of Yoga and Ayurveda in partnership with the San Diego College of Ayurveda. They are currently offering their 300 hour Foundation course in some of the world’s finest destinations such as the Cayman Islands, Thailand, Mexico, Iceland and the United States in the 2014 / 2015 Schedule.

This course is offered as a track program in Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy, and offers a dual certification at the 1200 Hour level, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and Clinical Yoga Therapist, both professional qualifications.

The course meets the qualifications of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, as well as the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.

Unlike Modern Yoga Therapy that is typically a form of physical therapy using yoga asanas (poses) as a means, Ayurvedic yoga therapy, otherwise known as Yoga Chitiksa, takes into account not only the physical body, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy utilizes the complete science of Ayurveda to bring about healing on a multi-dimensional level, body, mind and soul.

Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy uses not only asana, but also diet, herbs, meditation, breath-work, mantra (chanting), prayer, daily routine, lifestyle and more.

According to Dr. David Frawley, “Yoga and Ayurveda are two interrelated branches of the same great tree of Vedic knowledge that encompasses all of human life and the entire universe.”

He goes on, “Ayurveda develops its view of the body and mind, nature and healing from the background of Yoga philosophy as outlined through the twenty-five tattvas of the Samkhya system. Ayurveda provides us a complete mind-body system of medicine in terms of all aspects of diagnosis and treatment that reflects a Vedic and Yogic approach, values and wisdom.”

Yoga Veda’s Foundation course will introduce all of the basic concepts in both Ayurveda and Hatha Yoga. For those interested in seeking certification, this course offers complete certification in both practices. For those not seeking certification, but to develop tools to live in perfect harmony, this course offers that as well.
