Decatur, GA, July 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- UQuest: The Urban Competition heads to Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 1, 2014. Join the competition in a race through downtown that’s part obstacle course, part scavenger hunt, and part unknown. Charlotte is the newest city to be added to the UQuest circuit.

UQuest features teams of two to four people in an urban setting competing in mental and physical challenges in a race against the clock. The winning team gets to take home a cash prize and the most valuable prize of all: bragging rights for years to come.

So round up your team and get ready to compete. This urban adventure will have you climbing rock walls, walking balance beams, launching balls from giant slingshots, solving clues, completing missions, and so much more.

“You’ll need to bring your brain and your brawn to conquer these challenges,” said UQuest founder Anthony Murph. “But don’t worry,” he adds. “This competition is suitable for various levels of fitness and abilities.”

UQuest premiered in Atlanta, Georgia, last year with a race through the city’s Midtown neighborhood. Around 300 participants faced challenges such as the “Riddle of the Rockwall” (a rock climbing wall with a riddle at the top) and puzzles solved only by visiting neighborhood landmarks. As Valarie Hinsley wrote in Obstacle Racing Media, “in comparison to other races or events I have participated in, none of them come close to the uniqueness” of UQuest.
