Temple, Texas Yoga Studio Offering Community More Than Another "Exercise Program," Set to Begin Fundraiser Benefiting Youth & Veterans

Temple, Texas' Only Yoga Studio sets trend - Offering Residents & Visitors - Mind, Body & "Community" Action Workouts.

Temple, TX, July 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Temple, Texas has been a destination for many travelers since it was founded in 1881 by the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad. Over the years, many members of the community have worked together to welcome visitors & long standing tradition and values, and, onwardly, attract conventions and such - ultimately marketing Temple as the central healthy meeting and growth point for visitors and homesteads that it is today.

One local business, Temple Yoga, is taking that notion of pride in its' own contributions to Temple, its' residents and neighboring communities quite literally, "To the Mat." The studio announced Tuesday that it is organizing a unique "Walking fundraiser," to raise awareness and funds toward its student sponsorship, "Mala Children," Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to provide economically struggling or "At risk" youth an opportunity to attend classes at the Yoga studio at no cost. Ultimately the goal of such an endeavor is to increase positive activities & options & growth among area youth.

The sponsorship, aptly entitled, "Bell County Walk For Mindfulness," hopes to also raise funds to be distributed between the Scott & White Children's Hospital, children's Cancer Research Teams and the Veterans' assistance program, "Warriors At Ease."

The studio, located in the Pecan Plaza on 31st Street in Temple, Texas offers a wide range of Yoga and Meditation classes designed for everyone in mind from beginner to advanced Yoga student. Children & Veterans get in on the action; far distant from the fad based, high impact exercise gyms or home videos.

For the fundraiser, Temple Yogas' "Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction & Meditation (MBSR) Instructor," Daniel Bodhi Chapin will, beginning August 7th 2014 at 800am, will walk over 100 miles covering Temple & surrounding cities throughout Bell County Main as well. Bodhi, who has walked across the nation in 2010 as well as the islands of Hawaii in 2011 hopes the walk will bring awareness to the concern our businesses and community in general still have toward our community youth and Veterans.

Individuals interested in sponsoring or participating in the Fundraiser are encouraged to contact Temple Yoga via email and/or via their website address. The Studio is available via telephone at 254 935 9642.
