This particular show is especially significant to Llamas, because he was born and raised in Naples. To give back to the community, the artists have arranged for each poster sale to benefit the Children’s Museum of Naples, which is scheduled to open in 2008 as the first fully physically accessible, barrier-free children’s museum in the nation.
Journeyman Gallery is located at 2220 J&C Blvd, and is owned and operated by Josh Manring. Manring’s passion for travel made Journeyman Gallery a perfect fit for the Naples show. An opening reception will be held on November 16th, at 6 p.m. Attendees will experience the history, landscape, and inspiration found within America, as Abraham and Llamas share their thirteen-month journey. For over a year, the husband and wife team lived and worked out of their Honda Element with a mission to navigate through all fifty states. Abraham painted a canvas for each state, while Llamas recorded through film and music. Each of the fifty paintings were originally created and displayed separately in one of the fifty states. Now, they are finally displayed together in cities across America.
During the exhibit, Abraham and Llamas will be available for special events that support the local community. For interview opportunities and current exhibit dates, visit www.TheNomadicProject.com.
