Abraham Studios is operating the Nomadic Project.
The Nomadic Project is a national, conceptual art project designed to unite America through art. It is a self-funded project, developed and followed through by fine artist, Kristin Abraham and songwriter, Alfonso Llamas. Abraham completes a painting in every state to leave it in the next state over. This works to connect the forty-eight states, blurring the borders like a pencil smudge. Each painting creates a visual impression of inspiration from the time spent in that state.
Llamas' music will add another layer to the project by illustrating the experiences musically. With an acoustic guitar, Llamas will be writing songs. Interaction with individuals on an emotional level is expressed through writings and video documentary. By involving the community to participate, we have not only connected with the land, but also the life of the land. Eventually, ideals and lifestyles will be shared among neighboring states, celebrating the similarities and diversities of our country.
