Announcing the Launch of Salt Lake City Yoga Teacher Training This Fall
Xcel Fitness is pleased to announce the second round of YTT, led by Utah yoga’s highly acclaimed, Micah Scholes.
Salt Lake City, UT, August 16, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Starting September 6th, Micah Scholes and a diverse faculty of expert teachers will conduct another round of Utah’s top yoga teacher training. The training will take place at Xcel Fitness’s state-of-the-art facility in Holladay, Utah. Course options include both a 9 weekend, 200-hour Yoga Immersion for new students, and a 13 weekend, 300-hour Advanced Training for experienced teachers. The intent of these courses is to prep budding Utah yogis for success in practicing and/or teaching Salt Lake City studio yoga. Space is extremely limited and both trainings are expected to sell out.
This training will feature leadership from some of Utah’s top yoga instructors, including Micah Scholes, Jennifer Ribeiro, Elizabeth Radcliffe, Kimberlee Wells, and Jenna Hansen. Throughout the duration of the course, students of all ages and abilities will deepen their personal connection to yoga while learning how they can share their passion for yoga with others. This training is one of the most comprehensive and academically rigorous yoga teacher training programs in the world, leading students to optimal success in their goals as yogis.
YTT training with Micah Scholes and Xcel Fitness isn’t just for teachers. The upcoming courses help students develop and refine real-world skills for increased strength, clarity, and overall well-being in day-to-day activities. Both training programs will begin with an immersion into the real history of the yoga tradition, then dive deeply into studying classic Ashtanga yoga, following its evolution over time. Micah’s curriculum also focuses heavily on the study of the human anatomy and physiology, as well as the practice and history of Vipassana meditation and the breathing practices of Pranayama. The ultimate outcome from this course is a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of how all teachings are combined into the practice of intuitive Vinyasa.
Each YTT meeting will include the practice of Inutitive Vinyasa, discourse on yoga philosophy, and exercises in practical teaching.
