The Working Writer's Club Announces Its Newest Columnist
Cathy Fyock is a new columnist.
Jensen Beach, FL, August 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Working Writer's Club is pleased to announce that author and book coach, Cathy Fyock is a new columnist for the club site. Fyock will be writing for the book marketing column there each month. Her first article for this column, called Why Write, is available there now. Fyock will also be presenting teleclasses about writing and book marketing for the Working Writer's Club.
Before her new business launch in 2014, Fyock was an employment strategist with several business and HR consulting firms, and also led her own company - Innovative Management Concepts - for more than 20 years. Now she coaches professionals who want to write a book. She is the author of five books on human resources issues, which were instrumental in building her successful HR consulting practice. Her newest book, coauthored with her nephew, is On Your Mark: From First Word to First Draft in Six Weeks, which she is using to launch her coaching practice.
Fyock combines her talents as a speaker and her knowledge of business issues to provide innovative and inspirational learning events. She has served on faculty for the Society for Human Resource Management for their national seminar programs, and has provided keynotes and workshops for hundreds of clients.
She is the immediate past chair for Kentucky Society for Resource Management. She has received the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association, and is life-time certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Her undergraduate degree is in Music from Western Kentucky University, and her Masters is in human resources from the University of Louisville where she taught HR.
She loves to sing with her church choir, at piano bars, and karaoke, and sang professionally with the Kentucky Opera for two seasons. Cathy is a Diane Sawyer fan (Diane’s mother was Cathy’s third grade teacher), is a life-time member of Weight Watchers, and is a card-carrying member of AARP. Her vanity license plate is QUEENB.
Fyock resides in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband Jim.
