MOXIE yoga & fitness Announces January 1st Opening of Second Location in Nob Hill
Adaptive mind-body fitness for the urban life expands to new SF neighborhood for New Year.
San Francisco, CA, December 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- MOXIE yoga & fitness, the mind-body fitness studio designed for the modern and urban lifestyle, announces the January 1st opening of its second San Francisco location in Nob Hill. Building on the popularity of MOXIE’s first studio in the Mission, MOXIE: Nob Hill will bring its signature yoga classes to the new boutique studio located at 1501 Taylor Street in San Francisco.
MOXIE offers a unique and athletic approach to yoga. The MOXIE method, a signature approach to fitness-inspired power yoga, provides a framework of fundamental postures based on modifications of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa system while promoting creative sequencing that integrates Pilates, isometric and resistance movement to exercise every part of the body equally. In order to maximize accessibility, MOXIE’s efficient classes are free of philosophical and spiritual instruction and focus on the physical benefits of a scalable yet constantly evolving practice for beginner to advanced students.
“The Nob and Russian Hill neighborhoods of San Francisco are lacking in boutique fitness facilities, especially yoga studios,” explained Mark Rausa, co-owner of MOXIE. “We chose 1501 Taylor St. because we want to share what we have built in the Mission and extend our community to a new neighborhood that we believe will benefit from MOXIE’s approach to yoga.” In addition to regularly scheduled 55-minute classes that start and end on time, MOXIE: Nob Hill will ensure personal attention in intimate classes with a maximum capacity of 20 students. Infrared heating panels and a high-design walnut floor will ensure maximum comfort and a boutique experience.
Championed by MOXIE co-owner David Steele, music is also a key component in integrating MOXIE’s boutique setting with the physical practice, as each class will feature a curated playlist and state-of-the-art sound system. Steele, a partner in Noise Pop and managing partner of several San Francisco restaurants including flour + water and central kitchen, intimately understands the importance of music in creating a multidimensional experience for the MOXIE community. Playlists from every class will be available on MOXIE’s Facebook page and Spotify profile, enabling students to engage with the MOXIE community and extend their experience into their daily lives.
