The Battlegrounds Teams Up with Two New Partners
St. Louis' largest permanent mud run adds new timing method, free photos.
St. Louis, MO, January 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Battlegrounds, St. Louis’ largest permanent mud run obstacle course, recently teamed up with two new partners for its upcoming May 2 race.
Fleet Feet Race Productions, which will be the race’s new timing partner, will provide a wrist band timing chip for more accuracy and convenience. The company will post live results online and on-site via large television monitors. Runner communication also will be handled by Fleet Feet Race Productions through texts to notify participants of their personalized racing results. The company is based in St. Louis, Mo.
Gameface Media, the world’s leading provider of free amateur sports photography, will handle all race photos. Runners will be given a race bib that will link the bib’s number to free photos to see, share and print. The company is based in Boston, Mass.
The Battlegrounds offers a 5k/3.2-mile or a five-mile mud run where participants will experience the demands of more than 30 military-themed obstacles for those who want to test their physical and mental abilities. The Battlegrounds is located at 950 State Highway 00 in Wright City, Mo. next to Cedar Lake Cellars winery and event venue.
The Battlegrounds is teaming up with three non-profit organizations: The BackStoppers, Barrel Aid, and Operation Food Search. Proceeds will benefit The BackStoppers, a non-profit organization founded in 1959 to support the families of fallen heroes in the greater St. Louis region. Barrel Aid will collect and donate racer’s shoes to their non-profit partner Mission-Haiti.org, which supplies clean shoes, fresh water, food and schooling for more than 1,600 unserved children in Southern Haiti. Operation Food Search, which is the largest distributor of free food in the bi-state area, will hold a canned food drive.
