Williamsport, PA, May 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Lyme Survivors and Wellness Ambassadors of ELYMENATE will be on hand Saturday, May 30th from 10am-4pm at the Lycoming Mall, Center Court, to talk Lyme Disease.
May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month and it’s important to stress prevention, proper tick removal, as well as local support.
Lyme Disease has been reported in all 67 counties in Pennsylvania and is typically caused by a tick bite, but has also been reported to pass from mother to child in vitro or through a bite from other blood-feeding insects such as mosquitos. Many early symptoms include those also associated with the flu – fever, fatigue, joint & muscle pain. It (Lyme Disease) is highly misdiagnosed because symptoms mimic illnesses such as fibromyalgia, IBS, celiac disease, MS, Parkinsons, ALS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, even Alzheimers.
The Lycoming Mall in Pennsdale, PA is sponsoring the ELYMENATE outreach campaign to educate and raise awareness surrounding Lyme Disease, which affects both people and animals.
