Joins 55 Countries Celebrating Global Wellness Day on June 13, 2015
Global Wellness Day is based on the simple premise of increasing global consciousness of living a better life, even if it’s just for one day, by drawing a focus on healthier lifestyle choices.
Tampa, FL, May 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Bella Dermis Skin Care LLC “Says Yes” to Global Wellness Day, a one-day event celebrating health and wellbeing, is taking place this June 13th. By offering complimentary Skin Analysis, Bella Dermis Skin Care LLC stands united with hundreds of spas and wellness organizations in more than 55 countries from Turkey to Thailand to support proactive wellness.
Global Wellness Day is based on the simple premise of increasing global consciousness of living a better life, even if it’s just for one day, by drawing a focus on healthier lifestyle choices.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number one health problem in the world is, surprisingly, not a virus or a disease but depression – an affliction, which is linked to sleeplessness, stress and obesity.
The non-profit project created by Belgin Aksoy three years ago is being embraced by the spa and wellness world and has now also been accepted as a Global Wellness Institute initiative. Belgin, who came up with an idea to combat depression and unhappiness by promoting the importance of living well, says, “We’ve honored almost everything which is valuable to us with a special day, so why not have one that’s dedicated to the universally accepted importance of wellness?”
Bella Dermis Skin Care LLC's mission is to change people's lives by helping them increase their self-esteem and self-worth. To accomplish this, firstly by recognizing that the skin, as the largest organ of our body, is the first line of defense against diseases and is interconnected with all other bodily systems. Secondly, by accepting the fact that people don't think of their skin in terms of health, but rather as a means to reflect youth and beauty. By addressing people's concern for their aesthetics, Bella Dermis is actually helping them with their overall well being, and it can change people's lives. To celebrate Global Wellness Day, Bella Dermis Skin Care LLC will be offering free skin analysis and consultations.
“Living a life with wellness at its core is the guiding principle of our organization which is why we 'Say Yes' to Global Wellness Day and are proud that many in our Institute network, including Bella Dermis Skin Care LLC, are embracing this important campaign,” said Susie Ellis, Chairman and CEO of the Global Wellness Institute.
The campaign challenges people to change one aspect of their lives for a day and outlines seven steps to better wellness: What will you say “yes” to today?
- Drink more water
- Walk for an hour
- Shop locally & eat organically
- Stop using plastic bottles
- Do a good deed
- Eat a family dinner
- Go to bed at 10pm
