New Jersey YMCAs Expand Statewide Membership Reciprocity
Union, NJ, August 31, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Gateway Family YMCA announces the expansion of health and wellness opportunities for members as part of a statewide membership reciprocity program.
The statewide reciprocity program, titled “My Y, Your Y”, provides Y members with access to over 50 participating YMCAs throughout New Jersey.
New Jersey YMCAs share a strong commitment to developing quality health and wellness opportunities for all and partnered to provide this unified membership reciprocity plan.
“By providing our members with more options to visit the YMCA facility that fits their life schedule, we hope to make it easier for our members to continue their health and wellness routines, provide more options to use their Y membership and lead a healthy life,” stated Krystal R. Canady, CEO, The Gateway Family YMCA.
New Jersey YMCAs have been leveraging their collective impact through membership reciprocity since 2011, continually increasing wellness opportunities for members across the state. Through this program, YMCAs are providing increased accessibility to health and wellness resources at a member’s own convenience, both locally and across the state.
“My Y, Your Y” is an unprecedented step in strengthening the Ys impact on health and wellness in New Jersey,” said Melynda A. Mileski, EVP/COO, The Gateway Family YMCA. A list of participating Ys is available on at www.tgfymca.org or www.njymca.org.
The unified New Jersey membership reciprocity plan is an addition to the national A.W.A.Y. (Always Welcome at YMCAs) program which allows access to YMCAs nationwide for a nominal fee. Similar reciprocity programs are in place in other regions of the Northeast.
