“Living so close to a little known gem, Gorges State Park, I feel it is a perfect fit to help the residents of Transylvania and Jackson Counties get a taste of healing amid stunning natural surroundings. I’m privileged for the opportunity to debut this yoga program with much thanks to Steve Pagano, Park Superintendent who has enthusiastically supported this endeavor from the day we first met,” says Nielsen.
Nielsen first began helping individuals navigate physical challenges years ago, then later honed her skills by finding her way through the debilitating stages of systemic lupus, uncontrollable seizures, and numerous reparative surgeries.
“If I can find a way to hike these beautiful trails, feel well, stay well, and incorporate yoga into my lifestyle, anyone can! I’ve witnessed it hundreds of times with my clients, and I look forward to being a part of nature and yoga help our residents feel well, be well, live well,” says Nielsen.
