Cleure Toothpaste is Free of Chinese Influence
The mark of “Made in China” is seen on many products sold in the United States. Cleure, formulators of safer personal care and cosmetic products, have always and continue to be made in the U.S.A. Flora Stay, D.D.S, a dentist and founder of Cleure, says consumers should not only be concerned about products made in China but should become more educated on products made here in the U.S.
Camarillo, CA, December 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- “Most people don’t realize there is a warning on the back of toothpaste that reads ‘keep out of reach of children under the age of six. If more than used for brushing is swallowed, contact your poison control center or a health care professional’.” Dr. Stay explains. She goes on to say, “Toothpaste made in China has been in the news because they were substituting ingredients meant to be in the product for cheaper ones, without notifying the manufacturer. So you never know what you’re getting, because outsourcing often results in poor quality control.”
On the other side of the coin, are products made in the U.S. that have ingredients in them that haven’t been assessed for safety. Dr. Stay says, “Unfortunately, the F.D.A. only regulates drugs or cosmetic devices, with personal care and cosmetic products having been left alone to police themselves. Manufacturers may or may not list ingredients on labels because they don’t have to. It’s an honor system, and not everyone is honorable.”

The products are sold through a home based business “party plan” model.
