Felon Writes Book to Help Other Felons Reform

Queen Creek, AZ, February 20, 2016 --(PR.com)-- James Wieland, author of "Chains of Change," is hoping to help other felons through his unique guidebook focused on providing opportunities to those that have been incarcerated as well as support for their friends and family. Estimates put the total felon population, those in and out of prison, at roughly 20 million. A felony conviction restricts a person's ability to find decent housing, secure employment and a beneficial social standing. Along with these restrictions is the increased chance of re-offending due to the lack of resources available to offer felons help.

"Chains of Change" is dedicated to providing the general path of success many people have taken in order to improve their lives. It is written from the perspective of a convicted felon, James Wieland, to offer help for other convicted felons and their friends and family. This guide focuses on simple and straightforward advice to help felons get back on their feet and deal with the public sigma of "criminal."

"I just wanted to offer what little support I could to those that have made mistakes in the past and are looking to reform and live normal lives for the future," says Wieland. "While this won't provide every answer, it is an excellent start point to getting your life back in order after you've been convicted of a felony."

Wieland was convicted of a computer crime in the state of Maine and has since spent every day working hard to improve the life of his family. He graduated with a degree in Marketing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ and is now pursuing a degree in Computer Information Technology from Northern Arizona University online. He resides in Queen Creek, AZ with his wife and two daughters.
