QSR Magazine Editor Chosen for Faces of Diversity Judging Panel
Durham, NC, January 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- QSR magazine's editor, Sherri Daye Scott, will serve as a judge for the National Restaurant Association's 2008 Faces of Diversity Awards program. Joining Daye Scott on the 2008 judging panel are:

Gerry Fernandez, President, Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance
Dina Berta, Human Resources Reporter, Nation’s Restaurant News

In 2007, the National Restaurant Association partnered with PepsiCo to create the Faces of Diversity Awards, a program designed to recognize the restaurant industry's commitment to diversity and to celebrate individuals in the restaurant industry who are living the American dream. This year judging will take place February 22 in Washington, D.C. Winners will be presented at the 89th Annual Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show in May of 2008. Two awards will be given:
The American Dream Award, honoring individuals from diverse backgrounds who, through hard work, have realized “The American Dream.”
The Inspiration Award, which recognizes a company that has exhibited leadership and vision as an advocate of diversity and inclusion.
“Part of QSR magazine's mission is to illustrate diversity’s positive impact on the foodservice industry,” says Daye Scott. “I am honored, on behalf of the magazine and as a woman of color, to be asked to take part in this special program.”
