LA Corporate Challenge Now Open to Individual Competitors
Come one or come all, but come ready to have fun and compete.
Los Angeles, CA, October 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- In the past, the Corporate Challenge has been only open to allowing companies to register and pay for their employees to compete in the annual games. Now, they have changed their model and are allowing individual competitors to sign up for a very small fee and still compete in as many of the thirty sporting events that they wish. The board members of the Los Angeles Corporate Challenge heard the voices of many employees who are working for companies that just don't have the budget to pay for all of their employees to participate. So to accommodate everyone, they agreed to allow registration from both. When the individual competitor signs up, he or she just has to input the company that they work for as they are still representing that company. This is a win win for all. The Los Angeles Corporate Challenge is all about health and wellness for the employee. It's not about who pays for it.
The Corporate Challenge is an Olympic-type event that allows Los Angeles Area corporations to interact with each other through a variety of sporting events. One of the largest corporate games in the country, and with a successful track rate of 40 years, LACC looks forward to continued growth in the years to come. The involved competitors represent an employee base of over 150,000 Los Angeles individuals. Thousands more are spectators and several thousand more act as volunteers to assist with the games.
The LA Corporate Challenge mission is to promote health, wellness, and camaraderie by presenting participants with physical endeavors designed to challenge their bodies and minds through the spirit of corporate competition. The philosophy of the LACC has always been to promote team building and employee fitness and recreation within the Los Angeles business community. No other event offers the diversity of sporting opportunities that are provided by the Los Angeles Corporate Challenge. We offer something for everyone. Recreational activities such as darts, horseshoes and fishing are represented as well as competitive athletic events such as softball, volleyball, swimming, and running. A non-competitive walk is one of the most popular events in the LACC and gives everyone a reason to get out and be active. Some of the many benefits to the companies who participate in the Los Angeles Corporate Challenge are: it improves employee morale; it allows employees to work together as a team outside of the workplace, building friendships and stronger work relationships; it allows employees to network with employees from other Los Angeles area businesses; and most importantly it gives these participants a reason to be active and contributes to their overall well-being. We’ve seen it work......many employees train year round for the LACC, many have stopped smoking, dropped some excess weight, and have simply begun to lead a healthier lifestyle.
We'll see everyone in February when the games begin.
