Family Agriculture Resource Management Services (F.A.R.M.S.) Receives Grant from the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation
F.A.R.M.S. is proud to announce MRDT as one of their new funding partners.
Rock Hill, SC, March 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The MDRT Foundation has awarded a USD $3,000 grant to F.A.R.M.S., a regional nonprofit dedicated to protecting the family farmer against land loss through estate planning, education and retail market expansion services while relieving hunger in the farmer's community.
Through its global grants programs, the MDRT Foundation is committed to building stronger families and communities around the globe. This year, the MDRT Foundation will award over $1 million in MDRT member-endorsed grants to more than 200 charitable organizations worldwide.
Ms. Jillian Hishaw, Esq. F.A.R.M.S., Founder, Director and Agricultural Attorney states, “We are honored MDRT selected F.A.R.M.S. as a grant recipient and we look forward to using the funds to purchase produce from our farmers to be donated to rural food pantries in the Southeast. The MDRT grant will contribute to our goal to donate over 100,000 lbs. of fresh produce this year to food pantries and shelters.”
The F.A.R.M.S. to Food Bank program purchases fresh produce from small family farms and donates the produce to regional food banks, pantries, shelters and child care centers in high poverty communities in the Southeast. Over the past three years, the program has donated over 120,000 lbs. of fresh produce generating 144,000 meal servings is seven different states. They are proud to welcome MDRT as a program partner. Past and present funders include New York Life, Farm Aid, USDA, Clif Bar Family Foundation and more.

Since its inception, the Foundation has donated more than $30 million in more than 70 countries throughout the world and in all 50 U.S. states.
