Generosity Series Fundraiser to Support YMCA Financial Assistance
Clark, NJ, June 01, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Gateway Family YMCA is inviting the community to support their cause at a Fundraiser 5K Run/Walk hosted by Generosity Series on Sunday, June 4, in Oak Ridge Park – 136 Oak Ridge Rd., Clark, NJ. Dedicated to building a healthy community, The Gateway Family YMCA provides free Diabetes screening programs, a Diabetes Prevention Program and LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a free program for cancer survivors. In 2016, many charitable gifts from YMCA donors helped to make it possible for 1,200 children to have a safe place to learn and build confidence after school; 1,000 children to experience lasting memories and friendship in summer camp, 2,600 to learn safety and confidence in swim lessons, for 23,000 members to reconnect and grow together as a family, for 790 people in need to gain a support system and a place to live; and countless others to access education and training to reach their full potential. The Gateway Family YMCA provided over $660,000 in financial assistance for programs, services and membership in 2016.
