Dr. Mario Garita Takes Social Responsibility and Community Service Seriously - Opens Clinic Doors to Treat Local Students and Businesses for Free, Again
Dr. Mario Garita, will once again be opening his doors to treat local patients on November 24th, free of charge - demonstrating his ongoing commitment to help the poor, the less fortunate, and the needy.
San Jose, Costa Rica, November 21, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Mario Garita, Founder and Director of The Dental Experience, a Dental Clinic in Costa Rica which specializes in dental implants and serves Dental Tourists from U.S. and Canada, announced today he will once again be opening his doors to treat local Patients on November 24th, free of charge - demonstrating his ongoing commitment to help the poor, the less fortunate, and the needy.
Since Costa Rica remains a relatively poor country by most economic standards, it is critical that successful business owners like Dr. Garita take the lead role in ensuring the local population obtains the dental care they need. We have a pretty good healthcare system here, but it is certainly overtaxed; and many who need attention are forced to delay their treatment due to a shortage of Dentists within the socialized system of care, a lack of well stocked facilities, and proper coordination.
Dr. Garita said, “Social responsibility isn’t something we speak of frequently, but it is something we try to act on as often as possible. We began putting our money where our mouths are many years ago, and we are proud of our staff for showing the same dedication, respect and deserved attention to our special patients – those who cannot afford luxuries like dental care.”

Dr. Priscilla Rojas, Dr. Garita’s wife and co-owner said, “We never get tired of helping our neighbors. We are obviously in a great position to do so, but the truth is we get more out of it than our beautiful and humble Patients do, though they do walk out of here with happier, healthier smiles, for sure! While we extend offers to different local schools and businesses each year, things have seemed to go smoother every year as we get better at managing our time and our patient flows. We never realized there would be such a learning curve in giving back to the community, but now we have it down to a science!”
Dr. Rojas continued, “As I look back on time, some of my favorite memories have been those in which students from the local elementary schools have taken us up on our offer to come in for care and treatment. The gratitude these kids exhibit during their brief visits is more precious to me than any trophy, plaque, or monetary award I could ever receive. We are always looking forward to our next 'Open Day' and hope one day to convince our peer clinics to participate and offer similar pro bono services to others in need.”
